Intra operative video High Frequency Stimulation of Basal Ganglia

Parkinson’s Disease (PD) tremor :

Micro Electrode Recording (MER) of Sub Thalamic Nucleus (STN) neurones showing evidence of neurones firing synchroneously with arm tremor and their reactivity with hand movements.
Tremor is stopped by acute high frequency stimulation of STN (180 Hz monopolar 60 micro sec negative pulses)
