Parkinson’s Disease :

intraoperative neuronal recording using simultaneously five micro electrodes, helps localizing and identify Thalamic Reticular nucleus, Sub Thalamic nucleus (STN) and Substantia Nigra reticulata functional signatures.
Then, location of STN functionnal target is precisely determined by clinical effects of intra operative acute stimulation, in order to precisely implant chronic DBS electrode for the symptomatic treatment of the disease.
